An eFoil is an electric hydrofoil board. Our battery-powered jet drive, fully integrated in the fuselage, lifts you onto the foil until the board leaves the surface and you fly silently above the water.

Aerofoils builds every complete eFoil set in Bavaria, Germany: full-carbon boards from 73 to 103 litres and two inflatables at 150 and 230 litres, reaching up to 55 km/h with up to two hours of ride time.

How much does an eFoil cost?

Aerofoils eFoil sets range from €11,799 to €14,999 including VAT, depending on model and configuration*. Every price covers a complete, ride-ready set: board, mast, front wing, stabiliser, enclosed jet drive, battery, charger, remote and board bag. Factory-checked refurbished sets are available below those prices when stock allows. * Depending on your currency and temporary deals.

How long does it take to learn eFoiling?

Most first-time riders fly freely after 20 to 60 minutes on the water. Experience in surfing, snowboarding or wakeboarding helps, but it is not required. A structured lesson with a certified instructor is the fastest route: you learn lying flat, then kneeling, then standing as speed builds. Find your test ride location on our map.

How fast is an eFoil?

Depending on model and wing, an Aerofoils eFoil reaches a top speed of 50 to 55 km/h. Most riders cruise between 20 and 35 km/h, which gives the best balance of control and battery range. Rider weight, wing size and water and/or weather conditions all affect the number.

How long does the battery last and how long does it charge?

The Endurance battery delivers up to two hours of ride time; the Light battery around one hour. Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes from 50 minutes depending on battery and charger. The remote shows live battery level throughout the session and alerts you before the system gradually reduces power so you can return to shore.

Which eFoil set should I choose?

Board volume is the deciding factor. Choose more litres: the 230 L Hyperfly or 150 L Airfly – if you are learning, or heavier. Choose fewer: the 103 L Adventure, 83 L Performance or 73 L Competition – as your level rises and you want agility.

Carbon boards are lighter and sharper on the water; inflatables sit calmer at low speed and take more of the chop out of the surface, and the Hyperfly can be ridden with the Hyperbar for four points of contact instead of two.

Do I need a licence to ride an eFoil?

In Germany, eFoils count as small motorised vessels: any eFoil above 2.21 kW must be registered with the Waterways and Shipping Authority, and a boating licence is required above 7.5 kW. Many inland lakes restrict or ban motorised watercraft entirely, while coastal riding is usually less restricted. Please notice: Rules differ by country and by individual waterway, so check with the local water authority before your first session.

Is a carbon or an inflatable eFoil better?

Carbon boards are lighter, stiffer and more responsive, which makes them the choice once you ride regularly and want precision. Inflatables are more forgiving at low speed and pack into a bag, which suits travel, boats and shared use. Both use the same enclosed jet drive, battery and remote system. The Inflatables are shipped with a shorter 60 cm mast including the revolutionary Anti-Breach-System, Carbon boards come with a 80 cm mast.
